Stamped Concrete Patio and Curved Walkway

This backyard surface was stamped in a large ashlar-slate pattern and colored in warm tan and brown tones. The patio wraps a squared brick fire feature and then narrows into a curved walkway that sweeps out between the pine trees toward the rest of the yard. The video was taken on site while the surface was still damp, so the pattern lines, the release color and the shaped edges against the surrounding grass are all visible. A separate area of the same job shows the pattern running up to the wood siding at the house.

Backyard Patio Concrete Around a Pool

This backyard patio was poured as a series of large panels laid out in a diamond joint pattern that runs off the pool and spa coping and back toward the covered area at the house. The surface was finished smooth, the joints were formed rather than random cut, and deck drains and equipment lids were set flush within the field. The video also shows the yard behind the work area where the ground was still open at the time of filming.

This backyard project is the concrete surface surrounding a pool and raised spa. The deck was formed to follow the curve of the pool shell and the coping line, poured, and finished as one continuous surface running back to the covered area at the house. The video was taken on site and also shows the yard access route and dirt work behind the fence line while the pool itself was still under construction.

Covered Patio Extension with Concrete Work

This backyard project extends the existing patio surface and adds a framed cover over it. The photo shows the structure during framing: a post-and-beam frame tied into the roofline of the house, with a side wall framed out and the extended concrete surface already in place around the pool and fire feature. Concrete flatwork and the cover structure were scoped and coordinated together so the slab layout matched the post locations.

Curved Backyard Walkway

This walkway curves around planting beds and mature landscaping to connect the back of the house with the pool and patio area. The path was poured in a continuous sweeping line with a light textured finish and control joints spaced along the run, and the edges were kept flush with the surrounding lawn and bed borders. The building footprint was staked and formed on a graded and compacted subgrade, with the perimeter forms braced and set to a consistent elevation across the pad. After placement the slab was floated to a smooth finish and jointed across the field, with a thickened perimeter edge visible where the forms meet the ground. Photos show the site from staked forms through the finished slab.

Two-Car Driveway Replacement, Broom Finish

Curved forms were set and a rebar grid tied out before placement, then the drive was floated and finished with a single-direction broom texture running toward the street. Control joints were laid out with the panel sizes before the pour rather than cut at random afterward.

Side-Entry Driveway Extension

New concrete was placed beside the existing driveway to widen the parking area, matched to the original slab elevation and separated at the tie-in so the two pours can move independently. The finish was matched to the existing broom direction.

The slab was placed, colored integrally, and stamped with a flagstone mat pattern while the surface was still plastic. The release accent gives the field the tonal variation stone has, and the perimeter was detailed so the pattern reads consistently at the edges.

This patio uses an ashlar slate mat — regular rectangular units rather than an irregular pattern — with a grey and tan release blend. The layout was set from one corner so the joint lines stay square to the house.

The porch surface was stamped with a wood-plank mat and colored in a warm brown, giving the appearance of plank decking on a concrete surface that does not need refinishing on a deck's schedule. Plank runs were aligned with the length of the porch.

House Slab Foundation, Formed Through Pour

Grade beams were trenched and tied, a vapor barrier laid across the pad, and the rebar grid carried on chairs so the steel sits inside the slab rather than on the ground. Placement was done with a boom pump in one continuous pour so the slab has no cold joints.

The lot was graded to pad elevation, the perimeter beam formed and staked, and plumbing stub-outs set and capped ahead of the pour. Getting the rough-in placed and protected at this stage is what keeps the slab from being cut later.

The run was placed and finished in sections, with the broom pulled across the walk rather than along it for traction, and panels jointed at even spacing so cracking is directed into the joints. The far end was finished into the existing curb.

Curved Walkway and Side-Yard Path

Forms were bent to a consistent radius so the curve reads smoothly rather than as a series of flats, and a light broom was used to keep the surface walkable without being rough underfoot. The side-yard path was jointed into even panels.

Both pads were formed and reinforced for vehicle and equipment loads rather than foot traffic, with the steel tied out across the full field and the forms squared before the pour was scheduled. The RV pad layout was set at dusk ahead of an early placement.
